There are currently additional synchronized AI traffic, time and weather, and the ability to do the same work as other players.
There's also the option that, before exiting the Convoy, you can restore a previously played save game, which may be useful if you're not satisfied with what happens to your truck, cargo, or wallet while playing Convoy.
